With Mother's day around the corner I thought I would share some gift ideas to celebrate mom.

1. PREMIUM STARTER KIT
Want to splurge on mom this mothers day? This is the gift. It's a great way to help mom jump into essential oils and give her everything she needs to get started. It includes 11 essential oils (Lemon, peppermint, lavender, frankincense, tea tree, thieves, joy, PanAway, Stress away, citrus fresh, purification), a home diffuser, two samples of ningxia red and other goodies.  Not signed up with Young Living yet? Get one for you and one for her.

So now mom has her oils, a case for her to carry her oils with her on the go is a great option. Here's a couple I like. You can order them from young living or others companies have them too.

4. DIY PERFUME
Joy or stress away are great options to make in a spray bottle. Find out her favorite scent and mimic that with essential oils for her.

5. ROSE ESSENTIAL OIL
Want to really splurge for mom? She will be blown away with Rose oil from Young Living. This has the highest frequency of all the oils. Can't do Rose oil? Try Jasmine, it's about half the cost of Rose oil and still extremely luxurious. You can watch me unbox my Rose oil for the 1st time here:

VITALITY OILS - What's the Difference?

VITALITY OILS - WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE?

Young Living came  out with Vitality oils! The bottles are all 5 ml and they look a bit different. So what's the difference?

Well I heard someone explain it to me comparing it to coconut oil. You can purchase coconut oil for your body moisturizing needs in a certain part of the grocery store. However you can also purchase coconut oil in the grocery section where food is purchased. It is the same coconut oil, just one is labeled for food consumption and one is labeled to be used topically. Essential oils are essentially the same. The vitality oils are the SAME oil that is inside the regular labeled oils HOWEVER it is labeled differently for different use. So let's talk about the different uses.

REGULAR OILS (as I'm calling them)
You can apply topically
  • 2-3 drops on area and massage
  • dilute if needed
  • create roll ons to use
  • add a couple drops in bathtub
  • add a couple drops in shampoo or in creams

Aromatic
  • 2-3 drops in palm and inhale
  • breathe straight out of bottle
  • a few drops in bowl of hot water and cover head with towel
  • put a few drops in your diffuser

  • FOR INTERNAL CONSUMPTION TO USE AS A SUPPLEMENT
  • perfect for culinary/dietary use
  • add to food for a delicious kick for concentrated flavor
  • add in capsule for supportive properties
  • great in ningxia, water, recipes or capsules
So how do you know if you have a vitality essential oil? It will be clearly labeled with a white label.

What if you don't have any oils that are labeled for supplemental use. Well just as a reminder the oils that are in the regular labels ARE THE EXACT same. You just can't tell/recommend others to use the REGULAR oils for uses other than topical/aromatic.

Hope this post makes sense and helps you on your oily journey!
Remember we're all in this together!

March 2016 Favorites

MARCH 2016 FAVORITES

This month is long over but I thought I would share with you some of my favorites this month. I love sharing all the products I am loving. Let's start with some essential oils. I am a huge fan of Young Living Essential Oils. I love their seed to seal promise. I use them everyday!

Here are the SINGLE OILS I'm loving:

1.  GRAPEFRUIT VITALITY ESSENTIAL OIL (get it here)

This month I've been drinking a whole lot more water since adding 1 -2 drops of young living grapefruit vitality essential oil to my water. It's so uplifting and refreshing. Be sure to only use this oil in a glass bottle or stainless steel. Citrus oils are not great to use in plastic. It can actually break down the plastic, and you don't want to be ingesting that. yuck!

2.  HINOKI ESSENTIAL OIL (get it here)

This is a new oil in my collection. I find it a mild woodsy scent.  I almost found it has a lemony scent. According to Young Living's website: 'Hinoki comes from Japanese cypress and has a rich, invigorating citrus aroma that can increase spiritual awareness. Historically, Hinoki essential oil was used to refresh the soul.'  I love to apply it to my forearms. I find it extremely calming.

BLENDS  I'm loving:

1. JOY ESSENTIAL OIL (get it here

A few nights this month I had some stressful days. I decided to take some epsom salts and  Joy essential oil and put those in my bath. So incredibly relaxing. Let's just say I was a lot happier after a bath with joy essential oil. It honestly is such a happy blend. Joy essential oil is a blend that has: Bergamot, yang yang, lemon, coriander, tangerine, jasmine, roman chamomile, palmarosa and rose essential oil. Those together is a delightful blend. It creates a warm, comforting aroma that inspires a romantic atmosphere.

2. PEACE AND CALMING ESSENTIAL OIL (get it here)

I had a Dentist appointment this month. Let's just say Dentists are not my favorite people to visit. I was so nervous I added some peace and calming to my diffuser necklace. I thought maybe that would work great and I could inhale the aroma to calm me down during such a nerve wracking situation. Little did I remember that they put this bib on you that completely covered my diffuser necklace. So note to self: apply peace and calming EVERYWHERE...not just in a diffuser necklace when heading to the dentist.

Peace and Calming is a blend that has tangerine, orange, yang yang, patchouli and blue tansy. It's such a comforting/fresh aroma.

3. LADY SCLAREOL ESSENTIAL OIL (get it here

I just unboxed this in March in my march Essential Rewards unboxing. It quickly became a favorite. This is the most delightful perfume. I love applying it to my wrists each day. So grateful I got this order. I wish I had ordered it earlier. Lady Sclareol is a blend that has geranium, coriander, vetiver, orange, clary, bergamot, ylang ylang, sandalwood, sage, jasmine, blue spruce, spearment and hinoki.

MISC. FAVORITES

VALOR SOAP (get it here

This is such a nice soap. A friend of mine said this is the creamiest of all the young living soaps. I haven't tried all of them so I can't vouch for that. However I do REALLY love this. Also if you're a huge valor fan this is a great way to get valor since it's out of stock. I heard it's probably going to be out of stock until the fall. I love valor and love to use it daily. A viewer on youtube actually recommended cutting the soap in 1/4 to make it last longer. I loved doing this. My soap is lasting much longer. So happy tour this tip.

CIZE WORKOUT

I've been loving this workout. I've been doing the 21 day fix. But this is a ton of fun to get your cardio workout in. Of course this is a dance workout. So I won't be posting pictures or videos of me doing it. haha! But it's a lot of fun, and the time goes by really quickly.

PANDORA BRACELET (get it here

This is a newer favorite for me. I just acquired a pandora bracelet a couple months ago. I feel like I'm always late on the trends. But I got so excited when I realized I could get special charms for special occasions, trips or from friends/family.  Here are some of my favorites so far. It's a bracelet in the works. Do you own a pandora bracelet? What's your favorite charm? Let me know. Not all the charms are from pandora, some I got from amazon. I always make sure they are sterling silver.

I got these colored pave beads on amazon. They're so fun. I love choosing different colors to put in between each special charm. They sparkle and are so pretty.

If you want to watch my favorites for this month you can via youtube.

DIY Sun Spray

DIY SUN SPRAY

We have recently become a soccer family! Our kiddos both signed up for soccer this season. We are excited to embark upon this new journey. Along with packing some much needed essentials we decided to make a DIY sun spray. I got this recipe from The Chemical Free Home book by Melissa Poepping. It's easy and you can make this too. I love the option to use natural products to support our families wellness. We plan on being on the soccer field about 3-6 hours each week and this will be great to apply while we are in the sunshine! You need to make sure you re-apply every 30 minutes or so, or after getting wet.

Here's the recipe:

So here's what you're going to need:

Soccer Gear Must Haves

MUST HAVE SOCCER GEAR

My kiddos are starting soccer this year! This is our first time having our kids in a sport.  I knew this would be a great sport for them to do since it's only a couple month long season. We could try it, and if it didn't work out we could just not sign up the next season. Well if any of you know me, know that I don't do things half way. If I'm in, I'm all in 100%. So as soon as we signed up both of my kids Ethan (age 5) and Charlotte (age 8) the soccer gear shopping began. So here is my list of Must Have soccer items. Now I'm creating this list before I even begin the soccer season with them. So if I'm missing any items, please feel free to comment below. I welcome all comments from Veteran soccer or sport moms. You guys are the pros! So here we go.

Ebates
If you place any order online be sure to go through this link first. Beats sends you cash back for going through their site. I've gotten over $200 in checks just for using their site. Who doesn't love to save a little money?

31 Utility Tote  & Tote insert

  • This is great to store all the gear we're taking to the soccer fields. Sine we'll be there 3x a week or more. 2 practices for each kid and a game on Saturdays. This is large enough to fit it all, and sturdy enough to handle it.
  • The insert is great, because it adds so many pockets on the inside of this bag. I love having compartments to store items in my bag. The insert makes this bag more sturdy and gives me more storage options

Adidas Soccer Ball

  • Apparently there are different size soccer balls according to your child's age. You have to get the right size for them. I had to ask our coach for sizing since this was all new to me.
  • Pink size 4
  • Blue size 3

Huggies Wipes

  • We need wipes for this new adventure....because come on! Do any of you have a 5 year old boy who isn't messy? I figured soccer won't be any different. We'll need wipes on hand for any adventure life throws at us. I'm wondering when will be the day I won't need wipes for this boy. haha!

Soccer Snacks

  • Go Go squeeze 100% fruit Apple sauce. These are great on the go and to throw in our bag. I don't have to refrigerate them. I don't have to grab something from our house each practice, I can store these in there and be ready for the week
  • Organic Simply Balanced Fruit Bars are another great option to keep on hand for the kids

Target Sports water bottle

  • Double insulted to keep it nice and cool
  • We'll just keep ice and water in it to keep them hydrated
  • I love labeling anything we have for the kids. It's so easy for kids to loose items along the way. It's nice to have a water proof cute label to label their items. I've found these to be super helpful from Inchbug labels

Young Living Water Bottle

  • Of course momma has to have a water bottle on the go too. I love that this has a cap and seals up tight so I don't spill it on the go.
  • I love that this is stainless steal so I can add essential oils to my water
  • I love that this keeps my water super cold for hours and hours!
  • Plus how cute is it that it says Young Living on it?
  • I love adding Grapefruit Essential Oil from Young Living to my water

DIY BUG SPRAY

  • Great to wear on the fields when we're going to be near the bugs
  • Also doubles as a stink be gone spray. We're planning on spraying their soccer cleats and shin guards after every practice and game. The spray smells great!

DIY SUN SPRAY

This video will be live tomorrow. Be sure to come back then to check out what oils we wear when we're in the sunshine

TARGET BASKETS

  • I love to keep everything that they need to wear in the laundry room in a separate space from everyday clothes. This way it's easy for practices and games to grab their soccer outfits and get dressed in a matter of minutes. My soccer mom friends gave me this idea so it wouldn't be a stressful weekly occurrence. Having everything located in one space is going to be so helpful.
  • Adidas Blue Soccer Cleats

  • Adidas Pink/black soccer cleats

  • White Undershirts (target)
  • Soccer Jerseys (the team provided for them)

  • Brine soccer Socks Black for Ethan, and Pink for Charlotte

  • Starter Black Soccer shorts (from walmart)
  • Brava Pink Shin Guards, Adidas Blue shin guards. Come to find out shin guards go under the socks...not over. It only took us 3 practices or so to figure that out. Hey! Nobody's perfect. This momma had no idea!

Items in my trunk

  • There are some items that will stay in my car. I won't be lugging around to the field, or storing in the house. These items will be helpful to have in my trunk and I won't have to carrying back and forth.

1. Chairs for the soccer field

  • Chairs for the soccer field are great. We weren't sure if they were going to have seating at the fields. We went to check it out and some fields did and some didn't. The ones that did were wooden benches. Didn't look too comfy.  I love the chairs that come in a bag that are easy to carry, plus have a cup holder for my water.
2. Fabric bin to hold other items

  • 2 towels one for each child. This might be helpful if at a game it is raining and they are filthy. I can wipe them down, or lay the towel down on the seat to contain the mess
  • Ziplock bag with a complete outfit. Again if they are filthy and need to change. Or if we are going somewhere else right after practice. This could be helpful so they don't have to stay in their soccer gear
If you want to watch this all in action, check out my latest youtube video sharing all our soccer gear. Please be sure to comment below and let me know what are your must have sports gear is.

*some links are affiliate links. They don't cost you any extra to buy certain products from those links. But a small portion comes back to me so I can continue to blog/and share on youtube about our fun adventures :)
